My top 3 base makeup products & why!

Hello everyone (▰˘◡˘▰)

This week I wanted to talk about makeup!

Foundation/BB creams are, literally, the foundation of your makeup look, so needless to say they're pretty important. I've been through countless brands, formulas and colours before I could find ones that suited me!

When searching for foundation, I typically look for...
  • light/medium coverage (any heavier and my skin breaks out)
  • long-lasting and feel natural to my skin
  • Relatively affordable price
  • (not a deal breaker) but relatively cute packaging!
  • Foundations for oily skin types
My top 3 all together! qop aside, aren't they cute?~

DISCLAIMER: From my research online (sources: and Peta) these companies should as of right now be cruelty free. I'll make sure to update this post if I find out otherwise (゚▽^*)

3.Peach perfect comfort matte foundation (Too Faced)

  • Oil free
  • 14 hr wear
  • oil controlling
  • photo friendly
PROS: The coverage is very impressive! I've got lots of compliments when wearing this one, and I've found that like it says I look a lot less shiny throughout the day. The colour is, when blended, perfect for my skin tone and it smells amazing (like peaches and figs!)

CONS: I wouldn't recommend this as a daily foundation, more of a special occasion one; the reason being the formula is a bit heavy and I worry would cause break outs.

2. Babyface moisture BB cream (It's Skin)

  • Clinical skin solution (won't cause breakouts/damage)
  • SPF 30 PA++
  • Moisturising
PROS: Babyface is only around £10 to buy and really does work wonders. the coverage is great for redder skin & it gives you a healthy glow. My skin never feels dried or heavy like some products can cause, and it's so adorable to look at ^^

CONS: The coverage of this cream is pretty sheer, so I wouldn't recommend it for skin with a lot of acne meaning it's not as universally great as i'd like to think. The range of shades is sadly minimal as well.

1. Precious Mineral BB cream (Etude house)

  • SPF 30 PA++
  • Whitening
  • Anti-wrinkle
  • Anti-darkening
PROS: This. BB cream. it is perfect! I find that this one is easily buildable/blendable, and actually protects my skin from betting burnt (a total lifesaver on holiday). The coverage I would say is medium, It also smells fresh and clean ヽ(´▽`)ノ

CONS: The only con I can think of with this foundation is again the shade range. It would be awesome to see Korean makeup brands producing a more diverse range, but I guess since their main business is in Korea this may not happen as of yet ;(

So that was my top 3 coverage base products! I hope this proved useful to anyone looking for something that will keep their skin looking, and, more importantly, feeling gorgeous.

as always, have a lovely day~
