♡ Sanrio Puroland | How to meet My Melody & the best ryousangata photo spots!~ ♡

 Good morning everybun!

For today's blog post, I really wanted to share some of the cute and happy moments from a super fun day at Sanrio Puroland with my adorable friend, and also some of my favourite photo spots that are popular with Jirai-kei and Ryousangata type girls, as well as advice for if you are thinking of visiting Puroland too~

This was my 4th visit to Puroland,….! We managed to see so many things and enjoy the cute Puro atmosphere, as well as take so many cute photos hehe…!~

Outfit details

Dress: Ank Rouge x Sweet Piano
Pouch bag: Sanrio Sweet Piano Birthday 2023 collection
Headband: Sanrio Sweet Piano Birthday 2023 collection
Hair ribbons: Paris Kids
Shoes: Buffalo

Photo recommendation: heart headband pose

This adorable pose is one I was inspired to try from photos on insta, but it’s where you pose the headbands together to look a little like a heart!~ This works best with matching headbands, but you can also try a cute contrast like My Melody and Kuromi
You can use many different backgrounds for this pose depending on the characters you’re representing, but I recommend a background that has shows some of Puroland’s adorable wallpaper, like this one outside of ‘Lady Kitty’s Mansion’~♪  For an extra bit of cuteness, make sure to show your cute ita nails in the photo, and edit in sparkles with an app like ‘Snow’!

Photo recommendation: character greeting

For the next photo, I wanted to share a cute candid from meeting my idol, My Melody!
In order to meet the Puro cast, you can check their app or website to see what characters are available that day
~♪ Next, book a slot on the machines that can be found in the Puro Village (bottom floor) near the Wisdom Tree, in the entertainment hall. If you really love a character and it’s your dream to meet them, I really recommend researching the day they’re at Puro beforehand so you can definitely meet them!

This was my first time meeting My Melo, despite having gone to Puroland so many times.. and it was so so special! She is so sweet

For my photo recommendation for this spot, I would say candid hugging photos are really the cutest for sure!! the staff take many photos for you, and it is a really adorable keepsake. For the character meet, it’s best to enjoy yourself and the photos will definitely be cute!~♪

Photo recommendation: My Melo drive

This adorable strawberry wall is in the entertainment hall of puroland, and has become one of my favourite photo spots for how cute and perfect it is!
The My Melo car is actually the same as the ones on ‘My Melo Drive’ ride, which you can also get a souvenir photo of. However, this photo spot is a little more cute because of the background, and you can get a better quality, closer up photo~

Photo recommendation: strawberry carriage

This might be my favourite photo spot ever…
I really felt like a Princess, and the pastel pink colours are too perfect. You can also take photos in this carriage with friends, or bring your itabag hehe~
This photo spot is too adorable, and is conveniently located next to Lady Kitty’s House!

Photo recommendation: My Melody’s room

This photo spot is seriously perfect for My Melody theme codes
The twin chairs would look super cute with a friend, and you can get creative with props and accessories to match the delicious cake!
I really loved the delicate cherry blossom background too, so beautiful…
and the statue of My Melody is too perfect for outfit codes ! I recommend wearing platform shoes for this pose~

Photo recommendation: Puro Shop

One of my favourite photo types is to pose with various merchandise I really love at Sanrio Puroland…!~
This particular shop is for a character called ‘Wish me Mell’, an adorable fluffy white bunny with a rainbow tail. I really loved how pink it was, so it was perfect for photos

Thank you so much for reading angels
I also have more Puro photos in one of my previous trip blog posts, which you can read here ! Hopefully I’ve covered all the cutest photo spots here, but there’s even more in that post hehe… I’ll also be planning new photo ideas and a vlog too on my next trip, so please look forward to that~
Lots of love,

I moved to Tokyo! ♡ A little life update…

 Hello everybun!

It’s been a little while since I wrote on this blog, so I thought I’d write a little life update about moving from London to Tokyo, and a couple other little updates…~

I actually was going to answer a lot of these questions on YouTube, but due to my studies being so demanding, I thought I’d write something here first while I’m still finding my footing, and sort out the full Q&A once I’m more settled, hehe! ♡ These will just be more basic questions, so please be patient with me while I prepare the full Q&A~

When did you move to Japan?

I think this question is probably the most asked one, that is easy to answer !
I moved to Tokyo this year, in April. The reason for this is because my birthday is in March so I could enjoy that day with family and friends, and then school in Japan tends to start in April too  ~ You can also enjoy the cherry blossom season at this time as well, so it’s perfect…

How did you move to Japan?

This seems to be another question I get asked a lot, and while I think I’ll need to simplify it a lot for a blog post, I’ll try my best to explain !
So, I am studying Japanese language in Tokyo, which means I am on a student visa!
If you have a student visa, the school is responsible for helping you move to Japan
I actually had to choose between very little schools, as due to my health conditions most schools would not accept me due to being a ‘liability’… it was a little upsetting, for sure! But I didn’t let that stop me, and finally found a school that was right for me.
Of course, this involved a lot of paper work like finding my old school records, birth certificate, proof of residence, etc, but it’s definitely worth it!~
I really recommend doing your research into the best school for you, as it really differs from person to person~

Why did you move to Japan
So this question has so many answers, too..!
To be honest, I just felt that this was the natural step in my life that I needed to make, and very important to me.
I had been in university studying philosophy in the UK, graduated with my degree, and started a full time job at an office. However, I didn’t feel the job was the right fit for me, and I was worried I’d be living a life full of regrets for not chasing my dreams…
I also felt like I’d just been in this very dark place for a few years, and I needed to get out of there; maybe one day I will talk about this, but moving to Tokyo to achieve my dreams really felt like the last option I had left. Of course, it’s not easy, and perhaps moving to a country with not the best care for mental health wasn’t the smartest idea.. but for me, it really was that or nothing!

Of course, this isn’t just because I adore the fashion, cute goods and cultural aspects of Japan, I actually find learning Japanese to be really fun and rewarding!
As a city girl from London, Tokyo really feels fun to me and I knew that it would be a great place to live, with many like minded people
My goal in Tokyo is to become more confident in my Japanese, and to follow my passions, no matter how hard it might be. I refuse to let health issues stop me!~

How is life in Tokyo, Japan so far?

I think so far things are going well for my new life here !
It can be so stressful and overwhelming at times, as there is a lot of work, and managing all aspects of your life at once can be very tiring. However, overall I know that this was the right decision for me, and that living here has many benefits~
I’ve met so many lovely people, been to so many amazing places and learnt a lot, although it’s only been 2 months of me living here…!
Also, Tokyo has many cure places to visit like themed cafes, rabbit themed shops, girly clothes, beautiful nature and more, so I really have been enjoying living here… I even started a YouTube channel to document these cute places that I’ve found so far, and filming for that has been so much fun!

Thank you for reading this little update, and I’m looking forward to sharing more content with you all…!

Lots of love,

♡ styling my newest Michell Macaron pieces! | ryosangata & jirai-kei codes ♡

Hello everybun!
For today’s blog post, I'm so happy to be sharing how I've been styling my most recent purchases from Michell Macaron with you~♪ Michell Macaron are a brand that specialise in cute, girly and elegant type clothes; a perfect fit for both ryosangata and jirai-kei coordinates.

If you’re wondering why I like this brand so much, I’ll explain…! Michell Macaron produces the clothes that are well made, cute and extremely flattering to wear. They are best known for their famous ‘long leg skirt’ that promises to make anyone’s legs look super pretty, and fits your waist perfectly♡ Michell Macaron also offer multiple sizes from an xs-m, which is somewhat refreshing to see from a Japanese fashion brand as one-size clothes usually aren’t as diverse… hopefully this brand can add even more sizes in the future ꒰⑅ˊ͈ ˙̫ ˋ͈⑅꒱

All the Michell Macaron items featured in this post can be bought from the mycolour website, although they may be out of stock as some pieces, especially the skirts, are quite popular♡ With that being said, let’s review each coordinate and the lovely clothes from this brand!~

♡ Michell Macaron ‘skirt for beautiful legs’, houndstooth pattern, size xs

This skirt really caught my eye as it’s just so girly, elegant and cute…!~

I wore this code for my most recent jirai-kei meet-up in London and it was so much fun to coordinate. This skirt is really comfy, has built in shorts and a sweet pastel grey x white colour palette that can be paired with the majority of my wardrobe.

The houndstooth pattern seemed to match quite well with a white blouse or fluffy jumper, a perfect transitional piece to add to your wardrobe for welcoming spring, and was super comfy to wear with my short heeled shoes by Dearmylove

Outfit details:

Jumper: Liz Lisa

Skirt: Michell Macaron

Shoes: Dearmylove

Headband: Secondhand

Handbag: Mellfy Memory

Bracelet: Lafary

Rings: Vivienne Westwood, Justin Davis

♡ Michell Macaron  ‘puff sleeve logo knit ‘, pink beige, size xs

This knit really caught my eye when I first saw it on the Michell Macaron website…!~♪

It has a really pretty muted pink colour, with the word ‘Charme’ written across the front in a black font. There’s also a cute little heart detail, and it’s so soft…

I thought this piece would be perfect for casual ryosangata type outfits, and match well with both of the Michell Macaron skirts that I have. You could also pair this top with pretty much any jirai-kei black skirt and it would look adorable!

I decided to try wearing this with black hair ribbons and a black skirt so that the pink stands out a little more ♡ I also like pairing my heart ribbons with this jumper, and some of my shoes that have heart shaped buckles too…
These sparkly platform shoes are by Rojita and I’m so in love with them…! I think they’re quite unique for jirai shoes with the various silver accessories and glittery platform, and it’s nice to add a more detailed pair of shoes to my collection~

Outfit details:

Jumper: Michell Macaron

Skirt: Michell Macaron

Shoes: Ank Rouge

Necklace: Dior

Hair ribbons: Dearmylove

Tiara: Amazon

♡ Michell macaron ‘skirt for beautiful legs’, black, size xs

This was the first piece that I bought from Michell Macaron, and probably one of the most worn skirts in my entire wardrobe…! It’s so simple, cute and matches everything. This skirt was already featured in my previous outfits blog post, but I couldn’t resist sharing it in this one too, hehe

Outfit details:

Blouse: Rojita
Skirt: Michell Macaron
Bag: Maison De FLEUR
Charm: Maison De FLEUR
Ring: Justin Davis

I won’t go into too much detail as I have posted about this skirt before, but there are just so many reasons I love it…! The shape is flattering and cute, it’s the perfect length and you can wear it in any coord~ If you are planning to get your first piece from Michell Macaron, this is probably the one that I’d recommend the most…!~

Thank you so much for reading this post, and I hope it was somewhat helpful if you’re thinking of buying from Michell Macaron. I’m really happy with all the pieces I’ve gotten from them so far

Lots of love,
