A day in Hong Kong ♡

Hello everyone!~ ☆♪

For this month’s blog post, I thought I’d share some of my favourite things I did in the busy city of Hong Kong (*·ω·)ノ
I was overwhelmed by how bright and beautiful this city was; there were so many things to see and do, so writing about just one day is difficult!

The first part of my day was breakfast at the hotel, which for me was tasty pastries and fruit~♪ (*'ω'*) I especially liked the cherry pastry pictured, it was so delicious and fresh- also the fruits were somehow seasoned and tasted really good?

 ♡Breakfast at my hotel♡
Next, I took the tube to get to the causeway Bay Area! The tubes are air conditioned which I really appreciated in the hot weather, and there was one of my fav chain stores in almost all the main stations, 711! (* ́꒳`*)

I arrived at my destination, one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve seen in Hong Kong, and probably my life, the Peninsula, a hotel located in Tsim Sha Tsui. ♡ There was a violinist/pianist playing ‘Moon river’ and similar songs, I truly felt like I was in an old Hollywood movie (  ̆ω ̆ )

This place is definitely pricey, but you really feel like a prince/princess here! And the food looks like art.♡♪ There are many beautiful places to take pictures and to look at here, its so beautiful~ T^T

And here’s a look at some of the menu..
Even the menu is so pretty...

I also visited the bathrooms here, Which had a vanity area with perfume you can put on & hairspray!! (゚ω゚) ♪ The vanity area had a comfy little stool, and I felt very fancy applying the perfume which you can see here ^^'~

After afternoon tea, we walked around the area and then took the tube to Causeway Bay ♡ On the way to laforet mall, I saw a golden rilakkuma (as part of a jewellery line!) Σ੧(❛□❛✿) Rilakkuma is one of my favourite characters, but I'm not sure I'd be willing to spend that much on him ww XD

I had lunch in the Laforet mall, in Itacho sushi ♪ they serve authentic Japanese sushi, and have a wide variety of options to choose from- I've noticed a lot of restaurants do this, but they served us complementary tea too which was really sweet (pictured here) and the service was amazing ^^

The foods they serve was not only delicious but surprisingly cheap? They had great veggie options! I’d really recommend them (=^ェ^=)

Laforet had beautiful clothing, and cute homeware/ general goods stores! My favourites were a Disney store, a cat themed store (with meowing music XD) and if you got an octopus card (tube pass) the gacha! ~♪ (you can only use it with the pass tho :,o )
The other mall I visited, also in causeway bay, was Hysan place! ♡ This one was way bigger than any mall I have ever been to, and sold cute stationary, books, food, character goods, and more!~♪

Me and the lovely choco :>

I mainly went there for the Line friends store, as we don’t have any line merchandise available in the UK; it was so cute~!! ♪ *\(^o^)/* They sell foods, homeware and clothes of the characters, such as the water bottles pictured below ^^

As you might have guessed, Cony is my favourite character, as she’s a bunny & has many comical expressions XD ~ ♡

I visited a Starbucks on the way back to the hotel for dinner!♡ ^-^ While I didn’t get a picture, I just had another iced tea XD

Finally, we had dinner at our hotel~♪ I was happy to see they had a chocolate crumble, and a really tasty veggie sandwich on the menu ∩^ω^∩

Thank you so much for reading my post!

I also wanted to say a huge thank you for putting up with my 2 month break, I've had a lot of study work recently, but now things are under control I'll be writing more, and finishing my Japan trip drafts finally! ^o^

Visiting a Hedgehog Café! / Kyoto travels #1

♪ Hello everyone! ♪
While I was staying in Kyoto, I had the opportunity to visit a Hedgehog Café, named 'Toms Mr Hedgie’ (・ω・)ノ This was of course an extremely cute and fascinating moment, so I thought that I would dedicate a blog post to talking about this place & questions that you might have, as the 1st part of my new 'Kyoto travels' miniseries! ♪( ^-^)/★,。・:・゚

Our assigned Hog!
★ So what is a hedgehog café?
The purpose of Hedgehog cafés, or rather any animal café you can find, is for you to pay to spend time with either one or all of the animals (´∀`●)

Not all will serve food and drinks, but in some animal café you will have to buy something in exchange for being there. In this café, they actually didn't sell any food/drink, just for the hedgehogs! (although this is unusual, but probably because Hedgehogs are a bit rarer than say, a dog or a cat, and maybe keeping drinks or food near them is dangerous ~♪)

One of the little cuties in a tube ^^

What happens when you go there?
As soon as you walk upstairs to the entrance to the café, you will be asked to take your shoes off & wear slippers~ you then choose how long you want to spend with your hedgehog (I chose 30 minutes!) and are taken to a seat. You are given gloves to wear while handling the hog, and in a little tub your hedgehog is brought to you!! ★⌒(●ゝω・)b

How to correctly handle the hog!~
What is there to do there?
As well as spending quality time with your hog, there are some really cute other hogs! They can be found eating, sleeping and exercising (they do this a lot! ᕙ( * •̀ ᗜ •́ * )ᕗ) You can also find lots of cute little props and stuffed toy hedgies around the table, which is cute for pictures~

Someone having a little sleep~

Is it ethical?
As an avid animal lover & veggie, I can guarantee these hedgies are treated really well! The order of Hogs taken out is planned so they have loads of time to sleep, relax, exercise and eat! The staff make sure to tell you what to do & all the cages were spotless! ^^ Plus no flash photography was allowed, and the lights were dimmed for the hedgies sleeping~ I was so impressed!

The little nose!!

My thoughts
Although my favourite animal is a rabbit, going to this café made me really love hedgehogs; they're just so sweet!
As for why these cafes actually exist, I guess its because a lot of apartments in Japan don't allow pets, plus a lot of these animals are high maintenance, meaning it's hard to actually meet these cute creatures. I saw a few mothers bringing their kids to see hedgehogs irl for the first time! so it also acts as an educational place (≧v≦●)

Interested in visiting the same café?~ Here's their website!:

As always, thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoyed this post! Stay tuned for more Japan travel adventures (Kyoto, Tokyo, Hakone and more!)

My day at Sanrio Puroland ♡

♡Hello everyone! ♪♡
It’s been a while since I wrote something, since my trip to japan has taken up so much time! Σ੧(❛□❛✿) But now that I’m back, I’ll be documenting some of my favourite days from my trip including this one, my trip to Sanrio Puroland!

The rainbow shaped entrance to Puroland!

‘Sanrio Puroland’ is an indoor amusement park featuring Hello Kitty and all her friends, such as My melody, Gudetama and Pom Pom Purin !~ ♪ It has tons of beautiful photo spots, such as the giant castle-like entrance & Lady Kitty’s house, cute rides such as My melo drive ♡  & a boat ride, live shows, meet n greets, photoboots, arcades, a few different dining options AND plenty of gift shops! ♪ (๑>◡<๑)♪

entrance to Puro Village!

~Travelling there~

Getting to Puroland takes a bit of time but it’s totally worth it!~♪ the station you arrive in has a glass ceiling with all the characters as well as cute signs telling you where to go. Around the town are hello kitty banners on the lampposts (so cute! ♡)
and a good amount of convenience stores/shops/arcades nearby. You’ll know when you’re there, believe me! (=゚ω゚)ノ ♪
Part of the station's stained glass with the characters dressed up!

~ A record of the day ~

the first thing we did was collect a map of the place, and look around a little! We saw a bit of one of the live shows, which was interesting, although very crowded so it was hard to see! (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭⁾⁾
We then bought some ears to wear around the park (mine being my melo and my friend's Purin!♡)

Then we made our way to ‘Lady Kitty’s House’ which had a small queue so we waited for that... ♪  the house she has is so beautiful!! And we even got to meet Hello Kitty herself! lol XD

The first room in her house. the piano was beautiful!

The highlight of her house for me was seeing her picture of herself as Mona Lisa (and many other famous paintings) because it seemed really funny how she had pictures of herself everywhere! ^o^

The space around Lady Kitty's mansion! even the walls are cute...

Next, we made our way to check out the arcade! o(*゚▽゚*)o It was filled with claw machines and cute rides themed around the characters, I tried to win a giant my melody & some key rings but failed miserably... maybe i'm unlucky.. (I'm lying to myself I'm just really bad at these lol) :(;゙゚'ω゚'): We also checked out the shops; there are loads! so be prepared to bring money for them if you're a fan!

The my melody shop is so cute!

There’s also a big tree in the centre of the town place where Gudetama can predict your friendship! We got -100... I mean Gudetama makes mistakes sometimes, right..?! :(;゙゚'ω゚'):

I took my ears off to eat... the fries are even in a cute lil box!

And in terms of food, it gets pretty busy so I recommend getting lunch early! There’s free water as well (a little water machine in the cafeteria) ~ there weren’t many veggie options, so I settled for some fries instead!♪ If you’re vegetarian as well I believe there are pasta options too, but none of the character foods (except for desserts) I believe are veggie.. ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ=3=3=3

A hello kitty motorbike from the arcade!
We went on the lovely My melo drive, which was so cute! I am a HUGE My Melody fan so seeing her life as a story was truly amazing... also the cars are so cute as well! Sadly a lot of the rides had huge queues so I would really recommend getting to the popular ones early (eg boat ride) because otherwise it takes like 3 hours... (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭⁾⁾ *regrets*

Part of the My Melo drive display! too cute.. (T^T)/

~ Would I recommend? ~

If you’re a huge Sanrio/kawaii culture fan, this is the PERFECT place for you!
I honestly felt like I was walking around a dream land because of how adorable the characters and place was~ (ᵔᴥᵔ)♪
The rides aren’t scary or particularly exciting, but more about learning about the characters and seeing cute stuff (for example My Melo drive, telling the story of My Melody’s life!~) which again I feel you do have to be a fan of cute things/the actual story to like!~♪ ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

Also all the rides/items/shows are exclusively in Japanese, so if you are going I’d recommend you make sure you have at least a basic understanding of the language; You can definitely still enjoy it otherwise though!♡

Overall, because of the cuteness factor, the adorable sights, and the fun happy atmosphere, i’d really recommend ‘Sanrio Puroland’!~ ♪♡
Some of my souvenirs!
One last thing before I go!♪ above this picture is an example of a couple of souvenirs you can get ^^ the left: ears of your fav character, top: the album I made (polaroid pic of the place, the cute ticket they give you with a random character.. the album itself is from 'loft' btw!) middle: purikara from the nearby (outside of puroland) arcade, right: photo from My Melo drive ^^

Pripara microphone, cyalume tact & accessories review! ♡♪

If you're a fan of idols or cute Shōjo anime, you may be familiar with the anime series and game, Idol time Pripara!♡ Despite the anime being around for a fairly long amount of time, only recently I actually watched it~ I really loved the cute and colourful story, characters and fashion, and would recommend it if you love those sorts of things ♡ Ami ami currently have a sale up to 70% off Pripara merch, so check them out! ~ http://www.amiami.com/

The pripara merchandise is not only compatible with each other, but the cards, gems and microphone can be used in the Japanese arcade game version! If you live/are able to travel to japan then this is a fun feature to be able to use ^^

♡So with that out of the way, lets start the review!♡

---------------------------------------------   ♡  ---------------------------------------------

Starting off with the microphone itself! The gems pictured here are the 3 you receive in the microphone set, whereas the big shiny heart that attached the 3rd gem to the microphone is part of the extra accessories add on! The microphone lights up and plays a variety of different voice lines, as well as being compatible with all heart gems~

The heart's can be placed under the ribbon (as shown here) to be used in the arcade game!

You also receive this card with the microphone! It's the dress from a cute blue coord~ Even if you don't play the game, these cards are still super cute ^^

Also something to mention is that the mini snap-off cards have bio's of the characters!

Compatible with the microphone and tact is the extra accessories set!~ Here lies the secret to customising your mic and making it super 'dreamy cute' ^o^

No matter what your style is, the mic and tact can coord with you!
Firstly, included in this set is the sparkly bow variation (instead of the pastel pink one the mic comes with), and a gothic (holic trick?) variation, as well as this adorable rainbowy blue one!~ These just look so cute and mean no matter what your style is, the mic and tact can coord with you!

Each card has a clothing item (dress, footwear, hair accessory) that all work together~

Abouve are the cards you receive in the accessory pack~ while honestly. I'm not too much of a fan of this coord overall, its still nice to see different characters shown other than Laala, even if she is super cute! ヽ( ´ ∇ ` )ノ

And lastly, the cyalume tact! here's a little close up of the back of the box, its so cute omg ♡

The front of the box is shaped like a giant ribbon! it's so cute >-<

Here are the cards with the full coord you get in this set! This has to be my favourite one, its so pretty omg ヽ(〃^▽^〃)ノ The back of these cards are super sparkly too!!

This set is super celestial, my fav ^^

So heres a picture of the tact in action! without the mic, you have the option of...
♡Your Jewel type
♡ Voice lines from the characters
♡ Sounds when you move the tact

♡ and when you flip the ribbon and add the microphone, you activate kami idol mode & they light up in sync rainbow colours, with the option of all the main songs to sing to ♡
To be honest this thing is really heavy... ! ಠ益ಠ

The whole tact's appearance! how cute is it?!

A closeup of some of the gems and mic!

So that was my review of the Idol time pripara tact/microphone/some of the extra thingys! ^^ Although I don't really collect magical girl wands, this will look cute with the ones that I do have, and mainly I will use for my Laala cosplay, when I get round to it!

as always, thank you for reading~

The cutest back to school stationary... ♡♪

One of my random hobbies is collecting stationary- specifically, anything that is cute whilst also serving a meaningful (or most likely random) purpose in my life.♡ I love characters like Rilakkuma & My Melody, and mostly pastel related things- additionally I'm pretty fussy about what I use, so I can guarantee everything you see will be 100% aesthetic, affordable and (mostly) practical, and really help you to ace revision & class notes, as well as planning essays ofc (゚ノ∀`*゚)゚
I'll also be providing links to where I got (mostly) everything too! ♪
And yes I know it is late for this post but its never too late to buy stationary so.. :>

The first recommendation I have is this set of pastel highlighters and mechanical pencil from Amazon - the specific link is Here ♡

As you can see, the colours are still quite bright but a lot nicer to look at & prettier than the average neon highlighters you get in store. The design of the pen itself reminds me of a vintage flower shop? and yes that is oddly specific...
As for the pencil, there are a lot of good factors about this design. Firstly, the soft grip means you can write faster without hurting your hand (major bonus!) and secondly the rubber & lead are replaceable so it ends up being cheaper than using normal pencils.
I also love how pretty the design is- while sadly you can't find character themed versions of these in the UK, you can at least be assured that it looks smart, sleek and is nice to use ^^ You can find it here!

Probably the best stationary related thing to invest in is a well made pencil case, or just one that's got a fav character on it! Combining both, I tend to prefer a case with plastic coating on the outside as it's easier to clean & a bit more waterproof.

My current pencil case is by the company San-x (creators of Rilakkuma) and I got it from the UK based store 'Artbox' ♡ I chose this design because 4 leafed clovers are supposedly lucky, and who doesn't need a bit of luck? I also thought the mint colour was really pretty and a nice contrast to the brown of Rilakkuma. You can get this case here and view the website here!

I also tend to carry extra supplies with me (washi tape, scissors, etc) which don't fit in the first case & aren't as important to carry with me. That's where the idea of the secondary pencil case was born-

The case I'm currently using for this is a Betsy Johnson makeup bag in a rainbow gradient colourway. Not only is it super cute, but it fits surprisingly a lot of things! I got this from TK Max in America but I'm pretty sure individual sellers charge affordable prices too.

Here's an overview of the washi tapes I currently have...
As well as having character themed tapes, I tend to find that the pastel rainbow ones are great for decorating diaries/planners and i'd really recommend buying a set of them. These are from Paperchase and you can view the specific tape here - I can't recommend them enough! ★⌒(●ゝω・)

Another stationary related item I like is the classic 4 colour pens you can pretty much find anywhere. Although they don't really offer any writing support, they do come in shiny colours if you look for them hard enough. These are also the standard ink colours you'll need in classes so its a pretty staple piece if you ask me.

Another item I love to carry with me is a memo pad where I can write any random stuff that comes to mind. My current pad is this little twin stars one which I got from Artbox , its super sweet ♪

Moving on to miscellaneous items, here are some of my favourite coloured pens that I have ,。★\(^-^ )♪ The middle two are from Artbox and the outer two are from a friend. I don't use these for note taking often, but more for my diaries and journals.

Another useful item id recommend is a ruler like this one that can snap-out (idk how to say it lol) and also character rubbers are the cutest thing ever. Also, deco tape isn't necessary but.. it is fun to use :>
I hope you've enjoyed reading this blog post as much as i've enjoyed writing it! I'm excited to post more about my stationary finds when I go to Japan since basically all this stuff is imported from there.. XD
