Liz Lisa x My Melody 2019 & 2017 prints | reviewing three dream dresses!♡

 Hello everyone…!♡

For todays blog post, I’m so excited to be sharing my most recent secondhand Liz Lisa purchases, three more lovely lizmelo dresses, as well as my thoughts on them, comparing the lovely details and shades of pastel pink!♪

I’ll also link my previous Lizmelo posts here too, if you’re interested in seeing more photos of Liz Lisa’s other my melody collab items! ꒰∗´꒳`꒱

♡ Liz Lisa x my melody 2017 print - pink colourway ♡

The first dress that I’ll be looking at is one of my ultimate Liz lisa grail dresses, this beautiful sailor collar dress with many ribbon details…! This dress is such a lovely shade of pink, and matches perfectly with most other my melo related accessories, such as this pretty lizmelo handbag from the 2019 release.

The scalloped collar of this op is absolutely adorable, and such a unique twist on the sailor collar style! I love how many ribbons there are hehe (๑°꒵°๑)・*♡

This print also includes an adorable design of roses, ribbons, pale lace and little My Melody’s with various poses, wearing a sweet flower crown and her own Liz Lisa dress! I love how pastel but vibrant this print is, and the flower arch design around My Melo♡

How pretty is the back of this dress…! The same pretty ribbon design is continued on the back, with sweet scalloped edges. The stripe lace pattern is so subtle but adds to the sailor dress theme, this print feels like something Melo would wear to a magical girl theme school♡

I’ve also included a little coordination photo as this dress looks so pretty with this Maison de fleur my melody bag…! The pastel pinks match perfectly, I’d really recommend these two pieces coordinated together ♡

♡ Liz Lisa x my melody 2019 print - pink colourway ♡

Although this print isn’t so new to my wardrobe, I thought I’d include some photos as it’s just so lovely…! This design features a much paler pink than the other dresses in this review, but on its own it really stands out and is so pretty♡

The promotional advert for this dress was just so adorable! This collab also included a backpack, pouch and charm too♡

I also coordinated this dress with my new pink hair and Vivienne necklace…! Lizmelo op’s are so detailed, you can put together a cute coordinate with few other pieces ♡

This dress has a simple Peter Pan collar with delicate lace, pink ribbon and rose buttons, so simple but beautiful. The ruffles are so princess-y too! ૮⸝⸝ >  ꇴ <⸝⸝ づ

The highlight of this dress for me, however, is definitely the print! Adorned with roses, lace, ribbons and little Melo’s holding love letters with flower crowns, this dress is too adorable… it almost has a vintage, shabby chic feel to it ໒꒱

I love how the letters are addressed to ‘dear my friend’, with little stamps and detailed stationary! Maybe My Melo is writing to Sweet Piano, or even Kuromi? ૮꒰ྀི ⸝⸝´ ˘ `⸝⸝ ꒱ྀིა

♡ Liz Liza x my melody 2019 print - pink colourway ♡

The final dress that I’ll be sharing today is this beautiful baby pink op that was also made in 2019….! ໒꒱

I purchased the bag and charm at the time, and regretted not being able to afford the dress…! Ironically, I decided against it as i thought the print was too similar to other years… little did I know that in the future I’d see these dresses so differently, hehe! I’m so grateful to have found this beautiful print to match my favourite handbag and charm~(ꈍ ᴗ ꈍ✿)

What really stands out to me about this dress is how vibrant the pink is- such a gorgeous baby pink! It contrasts so well with the white sleeves and darker pink ribbon details. I also adore the pink and gold ribbon buttons, how perfect! And the heart shaped lace… it’s just too cute!♡

Unlike the other two dresses in this review, the back of this op is a little more simple! Featuring a lovely baby pink corset tie ribbon, and simple collar…♡

A little close up of this gorgeous print…! The ribbon theme is just adorable, and My Melo’s sweet poses look so sweet and girly~ (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)

Thank you so much for reading this review angels! ♡

I hope it was as enjoyable to read as it was to write, if only liz lisa still released multiple new lizmelo dresses every year… we can dream, right? ꒰⑅ˊ͈ ˙̫ ˋ͈⑅꒱

Lots of love,

Mama chapp dolls - what are they and where to find them!♡

 ♡ Good morning angels! ♡

For todays post, i wanted to talk about something a little different; dolls…!

Mama chapp is a doll company I’ve admired for years, but only been able to purchase relatively recently when i found out about various shopping services that collaborate with Japanese auction sites. They’re notoriously hard to find since almost every doll release is limited, and only available in Japan from either the official website or conventions. Despite this, I've ended up with a little collection of their dolls, who i love so much, and wanted to share some tips to anyone else who wants to purchase one of these adorable dolls! ♡

Some of my favourite dolls in my collection…♡

What are mama chapp dolls?

‘Mama chapp toy’ is a doll line that first debuted in 2007. They are a series of adorable dolls that usually feature popular anime tropes, such as maids, seifuku, shrine maiden, catgirl, idol, etc. You’ll probably recognise this doll line if you collected anime goods in the early 2000s, especially this photo from wonder festival 2008! They can probably be closest compared (and often mistaken for!) azone dolls in regards to quality and appearance, but have a different manufacturer, body sculpts, face sculpts and overall look.

they’re considered a collectors item, so the target audience is mainly adults. Mama chapp also collaborated with various anime and artists popular in the early 2000s, most notably lucky star!

What makes them worth collecting?

I think there’s no denying that mama chapp are just so, so adorable! They have adorable, wide eyes, round cute faces and high quality clothes/hair. In my opinion, they are superior to azone dolls as they are much more posable, and cuter. Additionally, they are a lot easier to carry with you due to being lighter, and more compact. The majority of mama chapp dolls are also original characters, meaning that you can customise them to be whoever you wish ♡

Three of my mama chapp’s original outfits! Gothic Lolita, kitsune shrine maiden and Sweet Lolita~

How much should I expect to pay, and where can i buy them?

Although their website can still be found here, and Japanese web shop here, the dolls themselves are almost exclusively available on the secondhand market, and are much harder to find due to few big stores stocking their products.

Please do not buy from eBay! Sellers there charge so much more for these dolls then is necessary, when you can find them much cheaper form other shops. The first shop that i would recommend (and easiest to use!) is mandarake. They ship internationally, have English language version of their website if you don’t speak 日本語, they also have the largest selection of dolls.

I would also recommend using the service ‘buyee’ to shop from yahoo.jp auctions and mercari (just remember to type mama chapp as ママチャップトイ as this service does not have an English version!), here you can find sculpts that might be more rare, or custom dolls!

Finally, you could also order straight from the mama chapp shop using any Japanese proxy service, personally i use white rabbit! This is the option I would recommend the most, as this way you are paying less, supporting the small business and getting a brand new doll! This website also seems to have many new releases that the creator comes up with, so I’d recommend following them in case a new doll is released that you like!~  (♡ >ω< ♡)

My latest mama chapp doll purchase from Mandarake !

How tall are they, and what clothes fit them?

Mama chapp dolls vary in height depending on their sculpt and hair, but the majority of dolls are around 22cm tall. This makes them a little shorter than most fashion dolls, but around the same height to wear the same clothes! The smaller mama chapp dolls have an obitsu 11 body, and are roughly 13cm in height. They also have made dolls as tall as 60cm, but unfortunately these are much more difficult to find, and always seem to be sold out!

When i got my first two mama chapp, i already had some other dolls clothes lying around (i used to have a pullip doll and currently have an azone pureneemo Madoka doll!) so that gave me a good indicator of what size these dolls are. They all have the old obitsu body sculpt, which is a lot smaller than the newer models. Despite this, pureneemo size xs/s clothes will fit them, as well as short sleeved Blythe clothes, Barbie clothes and some Licca chan clothes.

My mama chapp moko-chan modelling an azone pureneemo s size fluffy kitty set!

If you’re looking to build your dolls wardrobe, I’d recommend 1999.jp  as they have so many new styles that are so cute! Plaza Japan also stock many azone outfits too. Etsy is also amazing, although a little more pricey. You could also modify clothing patterns for various doll lines and make your own clothes for them. Clothes with shirring tend to work best, as they can fit even if the size is meant for bigger dolls. The one thing i would be careful of is socks; most azone knee-highs are too big! I’ll be documenting more of my mama chapp dolls coordinates over on my figure collection and twitter, if you’re interested!

I hope that this post was helpful, and that it provides a little more information/resources about these dolls to those who are also interested in collecting them. I’d really love to see mama chapp become as popular as they deserve to be, these dolls are the cutest! Please do let me know if you decided to purchase from their online shop, I’d love to hear about it♡

                                                        Lots of love,

                                                        ♡Evie xox♡

Liz Lisa’s ‘gingham cafe’ | reviewing one of my dream dresses! ♡

 Good morning fluffy pancakes…! ♡

Today’s post is so exciting, as i finally got round to purchasing one of my dream Liz Lisa dresses secondhand… gingham cafe in the pink colour way. I’ve dreamed about owning this dress for years, but it’s quite hard to find, and when you do it tends to be very overpriced.

But after finally finding it on yahoo.jp auctions for a somewhat decent price, and in perfect condition, I just had to go for it, and am so glad to have done so…! ଘ(੭ˊᵕˋ)੭* ੈ✩‧₊˚

The main reason that I’ve grown to adore this print is for how retro, but princess like it feels. The little gingham ribbons tied on cherries, delicate roses and array of sweet pancakes and treats make you feel like you’re looking at a vintage dessert advertisement!~♪

The body of the dress features an abundance of cherries and Liz Lisa’s signature pink roses. I find that quite a few of my favourite Liz Lisa prints have cherries on them, and it might be due to how sweet and shiny they look… or how cute the little ribbon details on them are!♡

Whilst in my code photos, this dress may appear a bit more of a baby pink shade, but the actual colour is this pale pink! I adore how the gingham pale pink x white colour scheme looks with a simple ribbon and lace trim at the collar. Although the overall look isn’t as extravagant as other Liz Lisa prints, I actually think this style is so flattering and adorable in it’s own way…!~♪

And of course, there is an adorable fluffy layer of tulle on the underskirt of the dress…! This is one of my favourite details that Liz Lisa add to their dresses, as it just gives the piece so much more shape and cuteness U・ᴥ・U

My favourite detail on this print have to be the stack of pancakes, adorned with honey and flowers. Not only is there this stunning lace boarder, but ribbons and roses just look so pretty and cute along with the desserts…! The teacup even has a golden edge, how beautiful♡

The other gorgeous details on this print feature a cherry cupcake and another pretty dot pattern teacup~♪ The attention to detail is just impeccable, the cupcake even featuring a little ‘Liz Lisa’ logo! It makes me feel like I’m at a vintage girly themed picnic or tea party ♡

And here’s a little overview of the coordinate I put together with this op!

Dress: gingham cafe in pink by Liz Lisa
Hair ribbons: off brand, handmade from yahoo.jp auctions
Hair clip: Liz Lisa x my melody (reviewed here!)
Bag: Sanrio puroland 2018 my melody print
Bag charm: my melody kindergarten series charm

I really enjoyed coordinating items that fit the colour scheme of this print! Pink x red is such a cute combo, especially when the red details are adorable little cherries… I got these hair ribbons especially for this code, and couldn’t resist a few my melo details♡

Thank you so much for reading about one of my favourite prints angels…! I hope that your November is going well, and cannot wait to share some pinkmas content soon…

                                                            Lots of love,

My Melody x Maison De FLEUR 2021 review!♡

 Good morning lovelies..!

It's been quite some time since I last posted here, and due to a few changes in my life, it seems like a new post was long overdue. When I previously wrote about Maison De FLEUR's beautiful collaboration with My Melody in 2020, I was so in love with her design that this Melo actually became one of my favourites of my collection...!~♪

So, when Maison De FLEUR announced another Sanrio collaboration (with a gingham theme, too!!) it seemed inevitable I'd pick up another Melo charm♡

Left: 2020 My Melo, Right: 2021 My Melo♡

The second Sanrio collaboration features a tea party theme, and two different colourways of each character (My Melody's being pink and blue!) ꒰⑅ᵕ༚ᵕ꒱˖♡

My Melody wears a baby pink gingham dress with sheer ruffles, a Maison De FLEUR ribbon, gold charm and pink x yellow flower crown. Just like last years My Melo, she has delicate pearls on her ears and a gold chain♡

One of my favourite details from last year's Melo was the delicate gold circle charm that she has, so it was wonderful to see how this was a feature on this year's Melo too...!~♪

Her blushy cheeks are so cute...! I love how vibrant they are, and how well the pink matches her colour scheme; all the pinks are cohesive, but not too similar that it looks repetitive♡

I couldn't resist talking about her beautiful lace-up ribbon details on the back of the dress, too! This gives her such a princess-y look, especially paired with the adorable gingham print, it makes me wish there was a matching dress so we can twin with My Melo!~ ꒰✩’o`ૢ✩꒱

The adorable baby pink gingham print is also featured on the torso of the charm...! I adore how fluffy her tail is too, although its a shame that you can't see it over the dress.

She also has adorable toe beans, just like last year's charm!~♪  This is such a cute detail, I wish more Melo plushies would give her them...!

Along with this sweet My Melo, I decided to feature a couple other cuties from my recent Sanrio shop haul...♡

Although I haven't talked about her much on this blog, Mewkledreamy is one of my other favourite Sanrio characters, as her dreamy and pastel theme is too adorable...! I picked up this little charm to match the talking plush of Mewkle and Nene-chan~♪
Perhaps I should write about her sometime soon?

And I couldn't resist this fairy theme My Melo charm..! She is absolutely perfect with her pastel rainbow of flowers, and wings..!! Maison De FLEUR's newest Melo also has a similar flower crown design, so I thought they could match ꒰⑅ˊ͈ ˙̫ ˋ͈⑅꒱

And a little comparison of this sweet Melo with different charms/plush..!♡ She is the exact same height as last year's Melo, and therefore quite a bit bigger than most My Melody charms on the market. This also means that matching accessories such as this 'Happy Rainy Days' carry case sadly will not work with her.

Thank you so much for reading, I hope that this post was as fun to read as it was to write!~♪
If you are also interested in purchasing a Maison De FLEUR My Melo charm, I recommend using the site 'Buyee' (if you don't already live in Japan, that is!) to access Google Japan, or other secondhand marketplaces like Mercari or Rakuten.
Lots of love,
♡ Evie xox ♡

♡ Peggy Porschen's Valentine collection 2021! ♡

Good morning and Happy Valentines Day sugar hearts!♡

Today I'm so excited to be sharing photos of Peggy's stunning valentines collection, that they released earlier this month ꒰。 › ·̮ ‹ 。꒱ It was such a lovely, sunny day when we visited, so honestly getting takeaway to bring home was perfect!

For our trip, I decided to wear this coordinate from my previous blog post. Liz Lisa's anniversary cake print in the pink colourway with a matching pink knit and beret! I also wore a Liz Lisa shorter coat with this code, so that the print would be more visible♪

I was so happy that Liz Lisa featured this code on their instagram! The last time I was featured was back in October (also whilst visiting Peggy's, which I blogged about!) so it brought a lot of joy to be there again♡

For this valentines, Peggy's released gorgeous cupcakes, cookies, and other beautiful treats that were absolutely stunning to look at. The exclusive valentines cupcakes included Strawberry & Marc De Champagne, a beautiful cream and baby pink rose themed cupcake, and Chocolate & Raspberry Kiss, a lovely chocolatey red and brown cupcake topped with rose petals and a raspberry ♡

I decided to purchase both of the exclusive cupcakes in this trip! Unlike the individual cupcake packaging, they were placed in this adorable striped box with Peggy's logo on the top...

I absolutely adore the colour scheme that Peggy's went for in this collection; the rosy pinks and gold details are so romantic ꒰。 › ·̮ ‹ 。꒱

♡ Strawberry & Marc De Champagne Cupcake ♡

My favourite from this collection has to be the delicious champagne and strawberry flavour! It was a little strange to have an alcoholic cupcake, but the flavour wasn't too overpowering, and with sweet strawberry the combination worked well. The jam in the middle was so tasty, and definitely my favourite part~꒰#’ω`#꒱

♡ Chocolate & Raspberry Kiss Cupcake ♡

This beautiful raspberry and chocolate theme cupcake was also so perfect! I found that the raspberry flavour wasn't as strong as I would have liked, but it was nice to try, and the sweet petal details were so lovely to look at ♡ This was also the first time I have tried a Peggy's chocolate cupcake, and I was impressed by how soft the sponge was...!

Thank you so much for reading, and I hope that regardless of what you're doing for Valentine's Day, it is still wonderful♪ Please take care of yourself and loved ones,

Lots of love,

♡ Evie xox ♡
